When building a property that stands the test of time, as the property owner, you must invest in the right cement brand for your roof ‘dhalai’. A well-built roof helps round off the construction, especially if you choose the right cement brand for roof dhalai. The roof of your building is your real estate asset’s most important structural elements. You must invest in cement that promises strength, durability, and longevity.

Property owners and construction professionals must invest in a cement brand with a robust cement distribution network across India so customers can easily avail themselves of the product. Here are important factors to consider:

  1. Structural integrity

Roof slabs require cement, which guarantees strength and durability. Premium-grade cement from the best cement company works as a binding agent by forming a strong chemical bond with gravel and sand to create a solid and unified structure. To bear the load imposed on the slab, the cement must provide cohesion through compressive strength.

  1. Functional performance

Through hydration, cement undergoes a chemical reaction to form a crystalline solution. This reaction paves the way for cement, aggregates, and water to combine and form concrete, a material with high durability, fire resistance, and load-bearing capacity.

  1. Transformative property

Cement’s transformative property makes concrete structures more malleable. This allows masonry to manifest different finishes and textures that enhance the property’s aesthetic appeal. Architects can rely on the malleability of cement for roof dahlia to bring their artistic visions to life.

Which cement is best for building concrete slabs in India?

Architects must choose the right type when choosing top cement for roofing. Different types of cement are available in the market, each offering varying properties that influence the durability and strength of the roof slab.

  • Ordinary Portland Cement

OPC can be mixed with water and aggregates to form concrete, mortar, or plaster. Portland cement is widely used across construction projects. Different types of Ordinary Portland Cement are available:

  1. OPC Grade 33

OPC, which has a compressive strength of 33N/mm2 at 28 days, is known as OPC 33 grade. It suits general-purpose construction, masonry, and plastering.

  1. OPC Grade 43

OPC 43 is Portland Cement with a compressive strength of 43N/mm2 at 28 days. Besides general-purpose construction, OPC 43 Grade suits high-strength concrete work.

  1. OPC Grade 53

It has a strength of 53N/mm2 at 28 days and is used for railway sleepers. Due to its solid strength, OPC 53 is also the best cement in India for house construction.

  • Portland Pozzolana Cement

PPC is a cement derived from intergrading Portland cement clinker with 4% gypsum and comprising 15% to 35% pozzolanic materials, such as fly ash, volcanic ash, silica fume, or calcined clay.

  • Portland Slag Cement

Portland Slag Cement is a blended variety of cement made by combining Portland Cement with blast furnace slag. It is used in general construction as concrete mix, plasterwork, and masonry, as well as marine construction, such as ports, harbours, and structures built near coastal areas.

  • Rapid Hardening Cement

Rapid Hardening Cement is different concrete used in applications requiring rapid hardening. It is a good choice for projects that require high early strength, such as repairing damaged concrete or constructing pavements.

  • White Cement

This cement is a specialised product primarily used for its aesthetic appeal and smooth finish. Made with low iron content and high-quality limestone, it is used in architectural applications such as decorative finishes, terrazzo flooring, and pre-cast structures.
