UDAIPUR: Prime Minister’s Shram Award were presented in a glittering function held in Vigyan Bhawan on 13th October 2011.
The recipients included 4 employees in the workmen category of Hindustan Zinc for their exemplary and distinguished record of performance and high order of devotion of duty.
Mr. Bhura Lal Nagda who is a Fitter, Mr. Jagdish Chandra Jat who is an Assistant Foremen (Mechanical), Mr. Dal Chand Lohar who is an Assistant Foreman (Electrician) and Mr. Mahendra Kumar Soni who is an Assistant Foreman (Ore Dressing) at Hindustan Zinc were amongst the proud recipients of Prime Minister’s Shram Award for the year 2009.
‘Prime Minister’s Shram Bhushan Award’ carries a ‘Sanad’ and a cash award of Rs. 1 Lakh and the ‘Prime Minister Shram Veer Award’ carries a ‘Sanad’ and a cash award of Rs. 60,000.
Mr. Bhura Lal Nagda received ‘Prime Minister’s Shram Bhushan Award’ for his exemplary performance towards problem solving and de-bottlenecking and also for his innovative ideas that brought changes and modifications in the existing process system that helped in reduction of power consumption and improvement in production, resulting in substantive savings.
Mr. Jagdish Chandra Jat received ‘Prime Minister’s Shram Bhushan Award’ for contribution towards bringing technical changes, up-gradation of equipments which have enhanced safety standards at the plants. He also brought changes in technology to make it more workmen friendly.
Mr. Dal Chand Lohar received the Prime Minister Shram Veer Award’ for his ability towards problem solving and his innovative ideas that increased the reliability of power distribution network and reduction of spares cost.
Mr. Mahendra Kumar Soni received the Prime Minister Shram Veer Award’ for innovative ideas towards productivity improvement, particularly for improvement in zinc-lead metal recovery efficiency , and for his innovative ideas towards maintaining the dust suppression that resulted in cleanliness of the environment in the surrounding areas.
The awards were given away by Union Minister of Labour & Employment Shri Mallikarjun Kharge.
Prime Minister’s Shram Awards are given to workmen who have distinguished record of performance and devotion to duty and proved their metal through presence of mind and exceptional courage.
