The CSR partnership spans two years to expand access to free dialysis and palliative care for vulnerable patients in Kerala.
KOCHI (India CSR): Nayara Energy, an integrated downstream energy and petrochemicals Company of international scale, announced its partnership with Cancure Foundation to strengthen access to essential dialysis and palliative care services for vulnerable communities in Kochi, Kerala. The two organisations formally exchanged their signed CSR Project Agreement on September 17, 2026, in the presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala, V. D. Satheesan, in Thiruvananthapuram. The ceremony was attended by Prasad K. Panicker, Executive Chairman, Nayara Energy, along with senior representatives from Nayara Energy and Cancure Foundation.
Through this partnership, Nayara Energy will provide Rs. 2 crore in CSR support over a period of two years to strengthen the delivery of free dialysis and palliative care services through Cancure Foundation’s healthcare facilities in Kochi. The initiative is aimed at improving access to critical healthcare services for economically disadvantaged and vulnerable patients who face financial and social barriers to quality medical care.
Commenting on the partnership, Prasad K. Panicker, Executive Chairman, Nayara Energy, said, “Healthcare challenges often extend beyond treatment itself, placing a significant emotional, physical and financial burden on patients and their families. Through this partnership, we hope to support care that brings greater reassurance, dignity and quality of life to those navigating some of life’s most difficult circumstances. The project will support free dialysis services for patients suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and strengthen shelter-based palliative care through a dedicated 40-bed facility for destitute and terminally ill patients. The initiative is expected to facilitate approximately 6,000 dialysis sessions annually, provide year-round support to more than 50 dialysis patients, and deliver continuous palliative care to approximately 40 patients.

The Cancure Foundation
Cancure Foundation, established in 2015, is a not-for-profit organization committed to improving access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable communities. The Foundation operates a state-of-the-art dialysis centre for economically disadvantaged patients and a palliative care centre for destitute and terminally ill individuals. It also extends financial and medical assistance to cancer patients from economically weaker backgrounds, conducts free cancer-screening camps, and raises public awareness about cancer prevention and the importance of early detection across Kochi and surrounding areas in Kerala.
