NEW DELHI:The advocacy programmes for CSR undertaken by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), a body established under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, brought out the need for having trained CSR professionals who can help corporates to implement their CSR projects. IICA has accordingly launched a programme – ‘IICA Certificate Programme (ICP) in CSR’ as a capacity building programme for CSR professionals. It is a nine month programme, delivered primarily through an online Learning Management System (LMS). The first batch of the programme was launched on 13th October 2014. This was stated by Shri Arun Jaitley, Minister of Corporate Affairs in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.
