Water conservation has become a major global issue as access to clean, abundant water becomes increasingly scarce. In response, Dabur launched a water conservation project in Newai, Rajasthan called “Desert Bloom.” The project aims to improve the sustainable livelihoods of marginalized communities in the area by increasing their access to water, technology, and management capacities.

Through the use of cost-effective, eco-friendly technologies such as water harvesting, conservation, and recharging of wells, as well as planting trees, “Desert Bloom” has helped to increase the water table in the region by 10 feet and ensure year-round water availability for farmers in six villages.

Dabur has also implemented this community-focused water conservation and management program in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.

CSR project โ€˜Adarsh Pathshala-Ek Nai Pahalโ€˜, under which the company revamps government schools in rural India and converts them into model schools, was also declared the Winner in the Education category. Read the full story.
