Dabur India Recognized for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility program at 13th India CSR Summit
New Delhi: Dabur India Limited has been recognized for its innovative CSR initiative, ‘Adarsh Pathshala-Ek Nai Pahal” at the 11th India CSR Awards held in New Delhi on December 17, 2022. India CSR Awards Recognizes Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility.
Dabur has transformed over 190 government schools into model schools in 12 districts across 7 states, benefiting 45,000 students.
The company was honored at the 13th India CSR Leadership Summit by Chief Guest Shri R.K. Sinha, Hon’ble Former Rajya Sabha Member and, Founder & CMD of Security & Intelligence Services (India) Limited (SIS) during the 13th India CSR Leadership Summit in the presence of Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt., Planning, Program Monitoring & Statistics Dept., Govt. of Karnataka, and Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR.
The Chief Guest praised the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work being carried out by Companies.
CSR project ‘Adarsh Pathshala-Ek Nai Pahal‘, under which the company revamps government schools in rural India and converts them into model schools, was declared the Winner in the Education category.
Education is both the means to a better life and a key to ensuring the overall development of society. The education programs form a key pillar of Dabur’s development agenda. Under this program, Dabur has been revamping the infrastructure in schools in rural India to give students a better learning experience and environment.
Under this project, called “Adarsh Pathshala – Ek Nai Pahal”, Dabur has been working towards transforming old and dilapidated government schools into model schools by modernizing the infrastructure and building new facilities. This has also helped increase the enrolment rate of students and arrest the dropout rates in these schools.
In FY 2021-22, Dabur has transformed school 43 Govt. Schools into a model school, benefiting a total of 7,574 students from marginalized sections of society. Till now, Dabur has transformed more than 190 Govt. Schools into a model school, covering 12 districts in 7 states. The initiative has benefitted 45,000 students.
Besides, the ‘Desert Bloom’ project on community-led Water Conservation programs in Newai (Rajasthan) and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh) was named Winner in the Water category.
