Through the use of eco-friendly technologies such as water harvesting and conservation, as well as recharging of wells and planting trees, “Desert Bloom” has helped to increase the water table in the region by 10 feet and ensure year-round water availability for farmers in six villages.
New Delhi: Dabur India’s water conservation project, “Desert Bloom,” has been recognized for its efforts to improve the sustainable livelihoods of marginalized communities in Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh at the India CSR Awards. The award ceremony took place on December 17, 2022, in New Delhi.
The company was honored at the 13th India CSR Leadership Summit by Chief Guest Shri R.K. Sinha, Hon’ble Former Rajya Sabha Member and, Founder & CMD of Security & Intelligence Services (India) Limited (SIS) during the 13th India CSR Leadership Summit in the presence of Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt., Planning, Program Monitoring & Statistics Dept., Govt. of Karnataka, and Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR.
The Chief Guest praised the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) work being carried out by Companies.

Water conservation has become a major global issue as access to clean, abundant water becomes increasingly scarce. In response, Dabur launched a water conservation project in Newai, Rajasthan called “Desert Bloom.” The project aims to improve the sustainable livelihoods of marginalized communities in the area by increasing their access to water, technology, and management capacities.
Through the use of cost-effective, eco-friendly technologies such as water harvesting, conservation, and recharging of wells, as well as planting trees, “Desert Bloom” has helped to increase the water table in the region by 10 feet and ensure year-round water availability for farmers in six villages.
Dabur has also implemented this community-focused water conservation and management program in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, and Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.
