NEW DELHI (India CSR): Former Mariner, YouTuber, and author Sachin Mohapatra—widely known online as Viral Odisha-has officially launched his new book, Bhavishya Malika: Decoded Prophecies of Kali Yuga and Kalki Avatar. Published by Clever Fox Publishing, the book presents a contemporary interpretation of the centuries-old palm-leaf manuscripts attributed to Odisha’s revered Panchasakha saints.

Reviving a Rare Manuscript Tradition

The Bhavishya Malika texts, preserved in traditional Odia script on palm leaves, form an important part of Odisha’s spiritual and cultural history. Sachin Mohapatra’s book introduces these manuscripts to a wider audience, offering translated excerpts, contextual explanations, and insights into their philosophical themes. The work aims to make these ancient writings accessible to readers who may be unfamiliar with the region’s manuscript heritage.

Bringing Ancient Knowledge to Modern Readers

With a growing global interest in classical Indian knowledge systems, the book highlights the relevance of traditional scriptural ideas in understanding cultural narratives, spiritual teachings, and the concept of cyclical time described in Vedic traditions.

Sachin Mohapatra notes that his objective is to present the manuscripts as “a window into a unique tradition of Odia spiritual literature,” allowing readers to explore how ancient scholars viewed societal changes, ethical values, and transitions across different ages.

Author’s Journey from Maritime Career to Manuscript Research

An alumnus of IMU Mumbai, Sachin began his career as a Mariner before transitioning into content creation and research. His interest in Odisha’s spiritual texts led him to study palm-leaf manuscripts under local scholars and traditional custodians. Over several years, he compiled notes, translations, and interpretations that now form the foundation of the book.

His digital platform “Viral Odisha” has allowed him to share content about Odisha’s cultural heritage, attracting a large audience interested in regional history, traditions, and spiritual literature.

Content Highlights from the Book

The book includes:

  • Simplified translations of selected verses from the Bhavishya Malika

  • Contextual explanations rooted in Odia and Vedic traditions

  • An introduction to the Panchasakha saints and their contributions

  • A discussion on the role of Lord Jagannath and Odisha’s spiritual ecosystem

  • Interpretative commentary exploring the philosophical ideas associated with Kali Yuga and the concept of cyclical ages

The narrative remains focused on historical, cultural, and literary aspects rather than making definitive claims about contemporary geopolitical events.

Global Availability

Bhavishya Malika: Decoded Prophecies of Kali Yuga and Kalki Avatar has been released globally in both English and Hindi. The book is available on major e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho, making it accessible to readers across India and abroad.
