SINGRAULI (Madhya Pradesh): Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Forest Department, Singrauli, to implement the “Biodiversity Conservation and Wildlife Management Plan of Jiawan Forest Range, Singrauli Forest Division” for the financial year 2025–26 under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The MoU was inked between Akhil Bansal, Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Singrauli, and Rakesh Kumar, General Manager (Environment & Forest), NCL.
This strategic collaboration reflects NCL’s sustained efforts toward environmental protection, biodiversity preservation, and sustainable development in its operational areas. Through the agreement, both parties aim to undertake comprehensive measures to conserve local flora and fauna and enhance ecological balance in the Jiawan forest region.
The initiative reinforces NCL’s commitment to aligning its CSR activities with the national priorities of biodiversity conservation, wildlife protection, and ecosystem restoration.
