UDAIPUR (India CSR): Hindustan Zinc Limited, the world’s largest integrated zinc producer and among the top ten global silver producers, reinforced its leadership in quality excellence at the Chapter Conventions on Quality Concepts (CCQC) 2026, during September 2026, by securing 50 Gold Awards and 9 Silver Awards for 59 projects presented from across its operations. With impactful projects showcased across its mining and smelting operations, Hindustan Zinc emerged as one of the strongest performers at the convention, with all its Gold Award-winning teams qualifying to represent their projects at the upcoming National Convention on Quality Concepts (NCQC), further reinforcing the company’s leadership in operational and quality excellence.
The company made a strong representation at the State Chapters’ conventions that brought together people from diverse industries and served as a platform for sharing innovative solutions and best practices. A total of 107 project presentations were made at the Rajsamand- Udaipur Chapter and 51 presentations at the Rudrapur Chapter by 25+ participating organizations and 400+ participants across industry sectors. Against this competitive backdrop, the Rajpura Dariba Complex (RDC) secured 18 Gold and 2 Silver Awards, while Chanderiya Lead Zinc Smelter (CLZS) earned 13 Gold and 4 Silver Awards. Rampura Agucha Mine (RAM) won 4 Gold Awards, Pantnagar Metal Project (PMP) received 4 Gold and 1 Silver Award, and Kayad Mine secured 3 Gold and 2 Silver Awards. Zinc Smelter Debari (ZSD) added 6 Gold Awards through its Lean Quality Circle and Quality Circle teams, while Zawar Mines achieved 2 Gold Awards.
The award-winning projects addressed a wide range of opportunities, including operational excellence, productivity enhancement, reliability improvement, sustainability, cost optimization, and quality improvement. Collectively, these accomplishments underscored Hindustan Zinc’s deeply embedded culture of quality and operational excellence, driven by employee-led innovation and collaborative problem-solving.
