Natarajan Chandrasekaran (TCS Chairman), widely known as N Chandrasekaran, has been a transformative force in the Indian corporate landscape. As the Chairman of Tata Sons, he oversees a conglomerate with more than 100 operating companies and annual revenues exceeding $150 billion. N Chandrasekaran was born on June 2, 1963. He pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications. These academic credentials laid a strong foundation for his illustrious career in technology and business.

N Chandrasekaran joined TCS in 1987. Over three decades, he climbed the corporate ladder, eventually becoming the CEO and Chairman. His strategic vision and execution capabilities were instrumental in TCS’s global expansion and success.

In October 2016, N Chandrasekaran joined the board of Tata Sons. By January 2017, he was appointed Chairman. His tenure has been characterized by a forward-looking approach, focusing on digital transformation, sustainability, and supply chain resilience.

Under N Chandrasekaran’s leadership, the Tata Group has ventured into several new business areas. His advisory roles extend to the Mitsubishi International Advisory Committee and the International Advisory Council of Singapore’s Economic Development Board.

He is the Chairman of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, and the President of the Court at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
