Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi had said that “sanitation is more important than independence”. His words appear more relevant in today’s world, which has been ravaged by the Coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed millions of lives.
Jaipur based Jayoti Vidyapeeth Women’s University has also tried to follow the Mahatma’s footsteps and turn our prime minister’s dream into a reality by making sure that its campus remained green and clean and also that the wastes were recycled or reused. In fact, the University has coined the term ‘Punar Janam’ (re-birth) that signifies the way the University manages the waste. The formula is simple. Manage the wastes in such a way that results in rebirth of the waste material in a usable form. In other words, it means ‘Ready to serve again’.
JVWU University have consistently been conducted various activities for Sanitation and Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management, Energy Management, Greenery, Swachhta in Campus, and also conducted Post- Covid 19 Sanitation and Swacchta Plan, on the basis of which the Ministry of Education has recognized Jayoti Vidyapeeth Womens University Jaipur as the Green Champion 2021 in the district of Jaipur Rajasthan.
