Rakesh Bharti Mittal, Co-Chairman, Bharti Airtel Foundation and Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, said, ” The future of any nation is shaped by the potential of its people. At Bharti, we believe education is the foundation of human capital development and one of the greatest enablers of progress. “Over the last 25 years, Bharti Airtel Foundation’s work has evolved from supporting schools and institutions to help strengthen the broader education ecosystem, reaching millions of students, teachers and communities across the country. Punjab holds a special place in this journey, it is where our first schools opened, and where this story began. Through Bharti Airtel Foundation, we aspire to help create opportunities that enable every child to learn, grow and contribute meaningfully to India’s growth story.”, he added.

Driven by the belief that education is one of the most powerful enablers of social and economic progress, the Foundation has built an integrated approach that combines direct interventions with systemic change. Its flagship Satya Bharti Schools provide free quality education to more than 35,000 children across 147 schools in rural India, while equipping them with future-ready skills through digital learning, robotics, experiential education, career programs and pre-vocational education. Beyond its own schools, the Foundation’s Quality Support Program (QSP) has extended proven teaching-learning practices to over 1,200 government schools across 13 States and Union Territories. The Foundation also supports higher education through world-class university infrastructure and scholarship initiatives, including the Bharti Airtel Scholarship, which empowers over 1,400 scholars, 44% of whom are girls.

With a growing footprint across schools, government partnerships, teacher development and higher education, Bharti Airtel Foundation continues to advance its mission of strengthening human capital and expanding educational opportunities across India, underscoring the shared belief of Bharti Enterprises and Bharti Airtel that investing in people is fundamental to nation-building.
