CHENNAI (India CSR): Belstar Microfinance Limited, a subsidiary of Muthoot Finance Limited, today provided Maruti Eeco Van to Anandam Trust, a Home for Senior Citizens, as part of its community connect initiative. The van will help the elderly residents reach the nearest healthcare services quickly during any emergencies.
Addressing a Critical Need
Anandam Trust cares for elderly residents, who have no income or children as well as provides educational support to children who have learning difficulties and conducts tuition classes every day for school students from underprivileged communities. Timely transport to a hospital can be the difference between a manageable situation and a crisis. With this van, the trust now has direct access to emergency transport, reducing response time when it matters most as well as enable them to transport the children from one place to another.
The van will support over 110 elderly residents of Anandam Trust by enabling faster access to medical facilities and ensuring timely assistance during emergencies as well as provide much needed transportation support to the students with learning difficulties. The initiative reflects Belstar’s continued commitment to supporting communities through initiatives that address essential needs and improve quality of life.
