The partnership will support students and faculty through joint research, internships, workshops, guest lectures and industry-led learning

BENGALURU (India CSR): Amity University Bengaluru and L&T Technology Services (LTTS) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish an E-Mobility Centre of Excellence at Amity University Bengaluru. The collaboration aims to strengthen student learning, faculty research, industry exposure and skill development in emerging technology areas.

LTTS will serve as the knowledge partner for the newly established Centre of Excellence. The initiative will focus on electric mobility, industrial automation, sensing systems, building automation technologies and data analytics.

The partnership is expected to help students gain practical exposure to future-ready technologies. It will also create opportunities for faculty members to participate in applied research and knowledge exchange with industry experts.

Students to Gain Industry-Relevant Skills

The E-Mobility Centre of Excellence will provide students with exposure to technologies that are shaping the future of mobility and industrial systems. The Centre will help them understand real-world applications of electric mobility, automation, sensing systems and data analytics.

Through this initiative, students will get access to industry-led learning opportunities. These will include technical workshops, guest lectures, internships, innovation activities and participation in LTTS’ flagship programs such as TECHgium®.

The collaboration is expected to improve the readiness of students for careers in high-growth sectors such as electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, industrial automation and sustainable technology.

Faculty to Benefit from Research and Knowledge Exchange

The MoU will also support faculty members through collaborative research and academic-industry engagement. Faculty and industry experts will be able to work together on research projects in electric mobility, industrial sensing and control systems, building automation and data analytics.

This engagement will help bring industry perspectives into academic learning. It will also support the development of practical research that can address current and future technology needs.

The partnership will create a platform where students, faculty and industry professionals can exchange knowledge and work on innovation-focused ideas.

Centre of Excellence to Support Practical Learning

The newly established E-Mobility Centre of Excellence will act as a platform for collaborative research, innovation and hands-on learning. It will help connect classroom education with industry requirements.

The Centre will focus on building technical capability in areas linked to sustainable mobility and digital industrial systems. It will encourage students to work on practical problems and gain a better understanding of technology-driven solutions.

Such exposure can help students develop problem-solving skills, technical confidence and a stronger understanding of industry expectations.

MoU Signed by Senior Leaders

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. (Dr.) D. Subhakar, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University Bengaluru, and Dr. Guruprasad A. S., Global Practice Head, LTTS.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organisations, including Mr. Vasu M., Head – EV Division, LTTS; Mr. Nikhil Dev B. R., Innovation Program Manager, LTTS; Dr. S. V. S. Phani Kumar, Technical Lead – R&D, LTTS; Dr. P. S. Sali, Vice President – Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, Amity Education Group; Dr. Monit Kapoor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Bengaluru; Dr. Gopalakrishna S. P., Registrar, Amity University Bengaluru; and Dr. Tushar Somnathe, Director – Corporate Resource Centre, Amity University Bengaluru.

Strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration

The collaboration between Amity University Bengaluru and LTTS reflects the growing importance of industry-academia partnerships in higher education. As emerging technologies continue to transform industries, such partnerships can help students become better prepared for future careers.

The MoU also highlights the role of universities in supporting innovation, sustainable development and future-ready talent creation. By combining academic learning with industry expertise, the partnership aims to create meaningful outcomes for students, faculty, industry and society.
