As the sacred chants of “Jai Jagannath” reverberate across Odisha during the auspicious celebration of Rath Yatra, acclaimed Odia actor, singer, and former legislator Akash Das Nayak has presented a heartfelt musical offering titled “JAYA JAGANNATH JAYA.” Released under the banner of Sidharth Music, the devotional album is a sincere tribute to Mahaprabhu Jagannath and a celebration of Odisha’s timeless spiritual and cultural legacy.

More than just a devotional song, “JAYA JAGANNATH JAYA” is an emotional expression of faith, gratitude, and unconditional devotion. Beautifully composed and written by celebrated music director Prem Anand, the song comes alive through the soulful voice of Akash Das Nayak, whose heartfelt rendition captures the essence of surrender to Mahaprabhu Jagannath.

What makes this project even more special is the vision behind its production. The album has been produced by Subhrajyoti Das Nayak, who is not only the producer but also the better half of Akash Das Nayak. Together, they have transformed their shared devotion into a meaningful artistic offering dedicated to Lord Jagannath.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, Subhrajyoti Das Nayak shared:

“For us, this is much more than a musical project. It is a humble offering at the divine feet of Mahaprabhu Jagannath. Rath Yatra is an emotion that connects every Odia across the world, and we wanted to express that devotion through music. If this song brings peace, faith, and positive energy to even one listener, we will consider our efforts truly blessed.”

Sharing his thoughts on the devotional album, Akash Das Nayak said that an artist’s greatest responsibility is to create work that inspires people and strengthens their emotional and spiritual connection with society. He believes music has the unique ability to unite hearts, transcend differences, and bring people closer to the divine. For him, “JAYA JAGANNATH JAYA” is one of the most spiritually fulfilling projects of his artistic journey.

The music video beautifully blends devotion, melody, and cinematic storytelling against the majestic backdrop of the sacred Jagannath Temple and the grandeur of Rath Yatra. Every frame reflects Odisha’s rich traditions and the eternal bond between Mahaprabhu and His devotees, making the album a visual as well as spiritual experience.

The devotional project is supported by a talented creative team:

  • Singer: Akash Das Nayak
  • Music & Lyrics: Prem Anand
  • Producer: Subhrajyoti Das Nayak
  • Director: Smruti R
  • Music Production: Christo Mathews

Beyond entertainment, “JAYA JAGANNATH JAYA” carries a timeless message of faith, humility, gratitude, and compassion. It reminds listeners that true devotion lies not merely in rituals but in kindness, service, and complete surrender to the Almighty.

As the magnificent chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra roll through the holy city of Puri, carrying the prayers of millions of devotees, this musical offering arrives as a heartfelt celebration of Odisha’s spiritual identity. Through this remarkable collaboration, Akash Das Nayak and Subhrajyoti Das Nayak have created much more than a devotional album—they have presented a sincere offering at the lotus feet of Mahaprabhu Jagannath, one that is certain to resonate with devotees across Odisha, India, and the global Odia community.

In an era where meaningful artistic expressions are increasingly rare, “JAYA JAGANNATH JAYA” stands as a beautiful reminder that devotion, culture, and music continue to unite hearts across generations.

May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless everyone with peace, prosperity, happiness, and unwavering faith.

Jai Jagannath!
