Naveen Jindal leads Rath Yatra celebrations at Jindal Nagar, Angul, as Jindal Foundation begins its 12th annual Anna Seva programme in Puri.
ANGUL/Puri (ODISHA) – India CSR – Celebrating faith, equality, and collective devotion, thousands of people congregated at Devboomi, Jindal Nagar, Angul today for the annual Rath Yatra. Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel as the Prime servitor, spearheaded the spiritual journey, joining the community to pull the sacred chariots and reinforcing the timeless principle that leadership is defined by service. Accompanied by his mother, Smt. Savitri Jindal, and wife, Smt. Shallu Jindal, Chairperson of Jindal Foundation, Jindal performed Chhera Pahanra—the traditional ritual sweeping of the path in front of the chariots of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.

To channel spiritual devotion into meaningful service, the Jindal Foundation—the social arm of Jindal Steel—has initiated its signature Anna Seva program in Puri for the 12th consecutive year. Scheduled over 11 days from July 15 through July 25, 2026, this extensive philanthropic campaign is designed to distribute hundreds of thousands of freshly prepared meals to arriving pilgrims. To ensure maximum reach and dignity for all, the Foundation operates three dedicated live-kitchen distribution hubs strategically positioned near the Shri Gundicha Temple Bus Stand, Puri Railway Station Square, and Station Road.
These centres work round-the-clock to serve wholesome, traditional Odia cuisine consisting of rice, dalma, and khata, all crafted under stringent food safety and hygiene guidelines.
For more than ten years, the Foundation’s Rath Yatra Seva has served as a symbol of empathy and shared responsibility, making sure that as millions gather in Puri for this holy transit, no devotee goes hungry.
