NEW DELHI (India CSR): Marking International Women’s Day with on-ground action, WattPower, guided by its core purpose, Wired for Good, has concluded a menstrual health and hygiene initiative benefiting 4,000 women and adolescent girls across Gujarat and Rajasthan, with a focus on awareness, sustainability and long-term community impact.
Implemented in partnership with SP Seva Sansthan and Baala, the program advanced awareness, dignity and access across underserved communities, including slum clusters, semi-urban settlements, labour communities and schools. Conducted between December 2025 and March 2026, the initiative combined structured education-led workshops with sustainable hygiene solutions to ensure impact extended beyond one-time distribution.
To support sustained behavioural change, each participant received a reusable menstrual hygiene kit with a usage life of up to two years, enabling safer menstrual management while reducing long-term costs and environmental impact. Structured awareness sessions were conducted to strengthen menstrual health literacy, promote hygienic practices, and address stigma through interactive community engagement. The programme also adopted a Training of Trainers (ToT) model, equipping local women and community representatives with the knowledge and tools required to continue awareness efforts well beyond the project’s duration.

SP Seva Sansthan, a Section 8 grassroots organisation, works across women’s empowerment, health and education, while Baala specialises in menstrual health awareness and sustainable hygiene management solutions.
Together, these efforts reflect WattPower’s broader approach to community engagement; one that recognises access to information, dignity and health as foundational to long-term social progress.
Commenting on the initiative, Smriti Agrawal, Director, WattPower Foundation, said, “Creating lasting impact means going beyond business and addressing real needs at the community level. We are committed to supporting menstrual health awareness in underserved areas to enable dignity, knowledge, and confidence among women and girls. For us, responsible progress must translate into meaningful improvements in lives where it matters most.”
Based on the outcomes of this phase, the company is evaluating opportunities to extend similar initiatives to other regions.
