NEW DELHI (India CSR): Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, marked a major milestone by launching its 50th Mobile Medical Clinic to provide free healthcare to marginalized communities. In a significant event held on January 6, 2025, in New Delhi, the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, flagged off two new mobile clinics destined for Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, and Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Equipped with cutting-edge telemedicine services and essential medical facilities, these mobile clinics symbolize Aster Volunteers’ commitment to improving healthcare access in underserved regions.

Expanding Healthcare with Innovation

The newly launched mobile medical units are built on Ashok Leyland Mitr 7-meter-long chassis and feature state-of-the-art equipment, including:

  • IoT-Integrated Telemedicine: Enables consultations with specialists and super-specialists remotely.
  • Patient-Friendly Setup: Air-conditioned waiting areas, registration desks, and consultation rooms.
  • Mini Lab and Pharmacy: Onboard lab for basic tests, refrigerated medicine storage, and dispensing facilities.
  • Health Awareness Tools: Large screens for health education and community awareness programs.
  • Adaptability: Equipped with awnings for shade during outdoor camps and built to navigate remote village roads.

These clinics offer free check-ups, diagnostics, and medicines, making healthcare accessible even in the most remote areas.
