MUMBAI : . Rishi Pathania joined – United Phosphorus Ltd (UPL) as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Rishi Pathania is having 15 years of rural development experience in different parts of country.
Before joining UPL, he was heading CSR of Tata Chemicals, Mithapur, Dist Jamnagar. For the last 9 years he was with Tata Chemicals Ltd and prior to joining Tata Chemicals Ltd, Mr. Rishi Pathania has worked with a small NGO based at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and with a multinational NGO based at Ranchi, Jharkhand. The focus was on improving livelihood in rural areas. In addition, this experience has given him an opportunity to understand the obstacles in rural development and was challenged to live and work in one of the most backward areas of country, often without proper amenities.
His experience of working with small NGO, Multinational NGO and Corporate CSR team has given him an opportunity to understand the intersection between Bharat and India, and has reinforced his understanding of the complex relationship between the various dimensions affecting humanity today.
Furthermore, his active interest in policy advocacy has earned him a position in different advocacy forums. Being an active participant at different forums has greatly helped him in driving community need based initiatives.
