NUH, Haryana (India CSR): The Holistic Rural Development Program (HRDP) under the HDFC Bank’s Parivartan Project was inaugurated by the S M Sehgal Foundation in Pinangwan, Nuh, Haryana.
The project aims to uplift rural villages through multi-sectoral interventions in livelihoods, education, natural resource management, and sanitation and is expected to benefit approximately 3,200 households within three years (April 2024-March 2027).
The event was attended by 70 villagers, including members of the village development committee, farmers, sarpanches, panches, and Anganwadi workers from 15 villages.
Project Overview and Collaboration
Mr. Navneet Narwal, Principal Lead, Project Implementation at S M Sehgal Foundation, introduced the HDFC Parivartan Project, highlighting that the foundation has been working for 25 years across approximately 2,600 villages in 12 states in India.
The HDFC project has been in collaboration with the Sehgal Foundation since 2017 and is currently operational in seven locations.
The chief guest, Sub-Divisional Officer Punhana, Laxmi Narayan, praised the efforts of the S M Sehgal Foundation and encouraged the planting of more trees in as many villages as possible.
Community Feedback and Support
The attending farmers and village development committee members appreciated the work done under the project over the past three years. Agricultural Development Officer, Anuj Jodan, Veterinarian Dr. Atul Kumar, Horticulture Development Officer, Manish, and Public Health and Engineering Department representative, Mohammad Jakam, provided information on various schemes and activities.
Education Officer Punhana, Virendra Kumar, praised the work of the organization in the block and suggested including more villages in the project to further promote education and agriculture.
Conclusion of the Event
The program concluded with assistant program officers from the S M Sehgal Foundation expressing gratitude to the guests and villagers.
