The WattPower Foundation extends the company’s ‘Wired for Good’ philosophy through purpose-led initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, education, menstrual health and animal welfare, creating long-term environmental and social value.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): WattPower Systems, a leading company in the renewable energy industry, announced the official launch of its CSR arm, WattPower Foundation, marking a new chapter in the company’s commitment to creating a positive impact beyond clean energy. Guided by its Wired for Good philosophy, the Foundation will work towards building stronger communities through initiatives that improve access, create opportunities and bring lasting change.
The Foundation will focus on four key areas that lie at the heart of its vision: women’s empowerment, education, menstrual health and animal welfare. These focus areas reflect the belief that meaningful change begins by standing beside those who need support and creating opportunities that help people lead better lives.
Announcing the launch, Smriti Agrawal, Chairperson, WattPower Foundation, shared her vision by saying, “The WattPower Foundation is deeply personal to me because every cause we support comes from something I have witnessed or experienced. Over the years, I realised that meaningful change often begins with simple acts of care and the willingness to stand beside those who need us the most.

Through this Foundation, we hope to create opportunities that help people move forward with confidence and dignity. If we can make even a small difference in someone’s life, we believe it is a responsibility worth taking.”
The Foundation has already begun supporting initiatives across its four focus areas. In partnership with Round Table India, it has contributed to the construction of classrooms that provide children with a better learning environment. Together with Project Baala and SP Seva Sansthan, it has worked to improve menstrual health awareness and access to reusable sanitary napkins for women and girls. Through its partnership with Friendicoes, the Foundation has also supported the care and feeding of stray animals, reflecting its commitment to compassion in all its forms.
As the Foundation grows, it will continue to work with government bodies, educational institutions, implementation partners and community organisations to expand its reach and create lasting impact across India.
