  • A crucial part of ISS’s sustainability strategy towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions within scope 1 and 2 by 2030 and full-scope net zero emissions by 2040

ISS Facility Services India, a subsidiary of the global facility management services and workplace experiences leader ISS A/S (ISS Group), and one of India’s leading integrated facilities management companies, today signed and presented a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TATA Power Renewable Energy Limited, one of the most significant renewable energy players in the country. In the MoU, the two companies commit to a common goal of promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions. The MoU was signed by Jacob Aarup-Andersen, Group CEO of ISS A/S, Aksh Rohatgi, CEO and Country Manager of ISS India and Ashish Khanna, CEO of TATA Power Renewable Energy Limited. The agreement was presented in a joint business conference which took place in New Delhi as part of a Danish Royal visit to India.

The collaboration aims to convert all of ISS India’s India-based clients’ portfolios to green energy and to evaluate opportunities to extend TPREL’s offerings to these portfolios. The MoU demonstrates ISS India’s dedication to being recognized as one of the best environmental leaders and a catalyst of real change in its industry. The partnership between ISS India and TPREL will result in a significant contribution to India’s sustainable development goals. By leveraging their respective strengths, ISS and TPREL will be able to create a synergy that promotes green energy, energy efficiency, waste management, sustainability, and innovation.

Talking about the partnership, Jacob Aarup-Andersen, Group CEO of ISS A/S said, “At ISS, we recognise the full scope of the ongoing climate and environmental crisis. This strategic collaboration aims at promoting a cleaner and greener future for India. The collaboration will encompass a wide range of facilities, including commercial and industrial properties, data centres, and various real estate asset classes. ISS India intends to convert all its India based clients’ portfolios across the country to green energy in due course of time.

TATA Power Renewable Energy Limited will supply 24×7 quality, reliable, cost-effective, and choice of power through Open Access and Group Captive Open Access. The partnership will also include the implementation of smart metering for hassle-free metering and billing, with the added benefits of data analytics, monitored consumption, and consumption prediction.

Additionally, the collaboration will enhance lifestyles through IoT-based home automation products, allowing for the control and operation of devices from anywhere through a mobile app or voice control. The partnership will also provide innovative solar rooftop solutions to maximize savings on energy bills and enable electric mobility through seamless EV charging infrastructure and experience, including installation, annual maintenance, and a mobile app.
