MUMBAI: Serco’s Global Services business has won the prestigious Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. The Award was presented during the 8th International Conference on Corporate Social Responsibility – 2014 ‘Golden Peacock Awards Night’. The award ceremony was organized by the Institute of Directors under the Chairmanship of Justice P. N. Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission and Co-Chairmanship of Justice (Dr.) Arijit Pasayat, Chairman, Authority for Advance Ruling & former Judge, Supreme Court of India & former Chairman, Competition Appellate Tribunal of India.
Commenting on the achievement Mr. Susir Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Serco Global Services, said “It gives us an immense sense of pride to receive the renowned Golden Peacock Awards. Golden Peacock Awards, instituted by Institute of Directors in 1991, are now regarded as the ultimate accolade of Corporate Excellence Worldwide. Today Golden Peacock Awards Secretariat receives over 1,000 entries per year for various awards, from over 25 countries worldwide. The Awards recognize and promote an organization’s initiatives and duty towards Corporate Social Responsibility.
