Satya Bharti School teachers win Principals & Teachers Award

Teachers from 13 schools across Jodhpur, Amer and Neemrana were felicitated for their contribution to facilitating quality education in the region


NEW DELHI: Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, announces the felicitation of 26 educators from 12 Satya Bharti Schools as well as a Government school under the Satya Bharti Learning Centre Program (Phase-II) in Rajasthan at the 6th Principals & Teachers Award 2017.

The award ceremony took place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Birla Auditorium in Jaipur. This annual award series recognizes excellence in education and honours deserving educators.

Of the 26 teachers felicitated, 10 teachers are from Satya Bharti Schools in Jodhpur, six teachers are from Satya Bharti Government Upper Primary and Primary Schools in Neemrana, eight teachers are from Satya Bharti Government Primary Schools in Amer and two teachers are from a Government school under the Satya Bharti Learning Centre Program (Phase-II) in Jodhpur.

Quality teachers form the backbone of the Satya Bharti Schools and are recruited from local and neighbouring communities where the schools are located. The Foundation follows a robust, multi-pronged approach for teacher development including teacher training/workshops, coaching for mentoring and in-school support, self-directed learning and exposure to best practices in pedagogy. As a result, the Satya Bharti School teachers:

  • Have confidence, passion and motivation
  • Have skills and expertise in subject and pedagogy
  • Are role models for children
  • Have a sense of responsibility towards the society, school and students
  • Have a sense of pride at being part of a larger movement of imparting quality education to the underprivileged
  • Are individuals who understand their role and are learners for life
  • Are connected to the parents and community.
