RAIGARH (India CSR): In a remarkable initiative to uplift and empower differently-abled individuals, the Rotary Club of Raigad Royal (RID-3261) is set to organize a Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp.

The camp, aimed at restoring mobility and dignity to those who have lost their limbs, will take place from February 19 to February 23, 2025, at Agroha Bhawan, Gauri Shankar Mandir Road, Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

This humanitarian effort is expected to bring hope and relief to many, especially individuals from underprivileged backgrounds who cannot afford costly prosthetic limbs. The event is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to social welfare and community service.

Event Details and Schedule

  • Camp Duration: February 19 – February 23, 2025
  • Inauguration Date: February 19, 2025
  • Time: 11:00 AM
  • Venue: Agroha Bhawan, Gauri Shankar Mandir Road, Raigad, Chhattisgarh

The camp will provide artificial limbs free of cost, ensuring that beneficiaries can regain their mobility and lead a more independent life. The event is expected to witness a significant turnout, including local leaders, medical professionals, and volunteers.

Dignitaries and Organizing Committee

The camp will be graced by several esteemed guests and dignitaries who have long been associated with social service and community welfare.

Chief Guest

  • Kartikeya Goyal (IAS), Collector, Raigad
The presence of the Raigad Collector underscores the importance of the initiative, ensuring administrative support and wider outreach.

Program Chairperson

  • Rtn. Akhil Mishra, District Governor, RID-3261
As the head of the Rotary District, Rtn. Mishra’s guidance and leadership play a pivotal role in making this event a success.

Key Organizers

  • President: Rtn. Aashish Mahmiya
  • Program Chairperson: Rtn. Sandeep Agarwal
  • Secretary: Rtn. Ankit Agarwal
  • Program Vice-Chairperson: Rtn. Ankit Kalaniyya

The organizing committee has been working tirelessly to ensure that the distribution process is smooth and that each beneficiary receives the right prosthetic limb with proper medical support.

A Noble Initiative to Uplift Lives

The loss of a limb is not just a physical challenge but also a psychological and financial burden for individuals and their families. Many people, particularly from rural and economically weaker sections, struggle to afford prosthetics, which can range in cost from thousands to lakhs of rupees.

Rotary’s initiative ensures that no one is left behind due to financial constraints. The prosthetic limbs being distributed at this camp are of high quality and designed to provide maximum mobility and comfort. Additionally, medical experts will be present to assist recipients in adapting to their new artificial limbs.

A Strong Commitment to Social Service

Speaking about the initiative, Rotarian Sushil Ramdas Agrawal, a senior member of the Rotary Club of Raigad Royal, expressed his thoughts:

“Service to humanity is the true essence of Rotary. This artificial limb distribution camp is not just about providing prosthetics; it’s about restoring dignity, independence, and confidence to those who have lost their mobility. We believe that no one should feel helpless due to physical disabilities, and this initiative is a small step toward an inclusive society.”

His words reflect the core values of the Rotary Club, which has been actively involved in various humanitarian projects over the years.

Public Participation and Support

The Rotary Club of Raigad Royal has extended an open invitation to all members of the community, local businesses, NGOs, and philanthropists to participate in and support this noble cause. Volunteers are encouraged to come forward and assist in the event by helping beneficiaries with registration, mobility training, and logistical support.

People who know individuals in need of artificial limbs are requested to spread the word and ensure they avail of this life-changing opportunity.

A Call for Greater Awareness

While this initiative is commendable, it also highlights the need for broader awareness regarding disability inclusion and support. Many people with disabilities remain marginalized due to lack of resources, infrastructure, and employment opportunities.

This event is a stepping stone toward building a more inclusive society, where differently-abled individuals receive the necessary support to lead a dignified and productive ife.

The Free Artificial Limb Distribution Camp organized by the Rotary Club of Raigad Royal is not just a medical assistance program; it is a movement toward empowerment, independence, and equality. With the presence of key dignitaries, committed Rotarians, and generous volunteers, the event promises to make a real difference in the lives of those in need.
