Reliance Industries Spends Rs. 2,156 Crore on CSR in FY 2024-25, Doubling Its Mandate and Impacting 8.6 Crore Lives

NEW DELHI (India CSR): Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and its philanthropic arm, Reliance Foundation, have emerged as the country’s largest private contributors to social development in FY 2024-25, with a record Rs. 2,156 crore spent on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. As per the company’s latest annual report, a major portion of this CSR outlay was channelled through leading NGOs, charitable trusts, and foundations that implement high-impact programmes in education, healthcare, sports, rural transformation, and environmental sustainability.

These organisations, either established or supported by the Reliance Group, have become significant partners in India’s development journey, implementing projects that reach millions across the nation.

Reliance Foundation Leads as the Top CSR Beneficiary

At the heart of RIL’s social outreach stands Reliance Foundation, the company’s flagship philanthropic arm, which received Rs. 180 crore in FY 2024-25. Since its inception in 2010, Reliance Foundation has impacted over 8.6 crore lives across India, working in the areas of education, healthcare, rural development, sports, women empowerment, and disaster response.

Under the leadership of Nita M. Ambani, Reliance Foundation has become one of India’s largest private philanthropic organizations, driving programs that uplift underprivileged communities and strengthen the nation’s social infrastructure.

Empowering India Through Philanthropic Partnerships

Through these NGOs, Reliance Foundation continues to deliver sustainable and scalable social impact. Its programmes align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on education for all, quality healthcare, environmental restoration, and youth empowerment through sports.

Reliance Foundation’s large-scale rural transformation programmes have enhanced livelihoods across 20,000 villages, while its education and skill initiatives have empowered millions of students and youth. Its health and disaster response missions have saved lives during floods, cyclones, and pandemics, showcasing the agility and depth of India’s corporate philanthropy model.
