MUMBAI: Lavasa Corporation Ltd (LCL) has been always conscious of its responsibility towards the local villagers and low income group as the important stakeholders.
The community development (CSR) initiatives for the upliftment of these groups includes health, education, drinking water supply, housing, employment, providing basic infrastructure and Gaothan development indicate LCL commitment towards the under privileged community.
As part of the community development initiative LCL in association with Tara Mobile Creche organized health check up camp for children of laborers in the project area. A team of 11 doctors conducted health check up of 106 children.
The doctors’ team included 5 interns from Creighton University School of Medicine, USA who along with Pediatrics from DY Patil Hospital Pune did detailed check up of children. Some of the children were suffering from skin diseases, cold and cough and hearing problem, doctors had discussion with their Parents and advised further medical treatment.
The basic medicine was provided free of cost to the needy children.
Tulsidas Chavan one of the Parents said, “It was a great opportunity for us to have detailed health check up of our children, we never thought much on our children’s health problems before. I will take care of my child health properly and ensure he gets timely health check up, thanks to Lavasa for organizing such camp”.
On this event Lavasa Deputy City Manager Satish Kamat said,” This is a great collaboration between Tara Mobile Crech & Lavasa and the children in the Crech are benefiting from this”.
