NEW DELHI: LANXESS India Private Limited, a chemicals company, has asserted its commitment for technological intervention in educational empowerment by setting up e-learning tools in Govt. College, Nagda in Madhya Pradesh under its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
“This project is in line with LANXESS’ vision of a digital future and also finds resonance with the government’s focus on creating a digitally empowered nation.” statement said.
The Need
The need for better tools of teaching have been growing rapidly. While privately-run institutions have made the most of the available technology, students of Govt. run institutions seem to be losing out, primarily due to the financial inability to procure tech-based learning tools.

LANXESS offers to fulfil the gap by providing infrastructure to educational institutions and give an equal opportunity to students.
Support to the College
In a ceremony held at Civil Hospital in the presence of Dilip Singh Shekhawat, local MLA; Neelanjan Banerjee, Senior ED; Sanjay Singh, Site Head and local authorities, agreement formalized with the College to support with seven interactive e-learning tools at a cost of around Rs.15,00,000.
The internet support needed for the e-learning tools will be provided by the college management, while the maintenance of the tools will be taken upon by LANXESS.
Support to public hospital
At the same occasion, LANXESS also presented a cheque of Rs. 10 Lakh to the Nagda Civil Hospital authorities as part of its three-year long commitment to contribute towards the upgradation of the existing facilities and infrastructure of the hospital.
Having already supported the hospital with a dialysis machine last year, the amount presented this year will be used to procure a much-needed state-of-the-art sonography machine for the hospital.
The local authorities along with the hospital management presented to LANXESS the need of a sonography machine as the patients, especially, women had to travel long distances to get such basic tests done.
