MUMBAI: Kalpataru Limited has announced its support for ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’, a unique beautification initiative for the makeover of 36 Railway stations across Central and Western suburban lines in Mumbai between 2nd to 8th October 2016. ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’ is among the biggest mass volunteering initiatives in the city.
As part of the initiative, Kalpataru will sponsor several stations, and, employee volunteers from the company will join volunteer teams at various stations to help beautify pre-designated spaces through thematic paintings.
Kalpataru is spreading awareness about ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’ among other corporates, Kalpataru housing societies spread across Mumbai and Thane, and Korum Mall in Thane.
‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’ is a joint initiative of ‘Mumbai First’ and ‘Making A Difference’ in collaboration with the Western and Central Railways. The initiative involves beautification of station areas through thematic paintings that capture the flavor of the station and its surrounds. The total paintable area is estimated to be close to one lakh square feet and spans booking windows, platform entrances, and foot over-bridges.
Kalpataru Group has a strong ongoing community outreach programme spanning Education, Preventive Healthcare, and Community Development. The Group also undertakes several initiatives to improve the lot of communities around its projects besides offering several volunteering platforms to its stakeholders to connect with these communities.
