ANGUL: The Angul unit of Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has been conferred with two Greentech Awards in the category of ‘Training Excellence’ and ‘Best HR Leader’ by Greentech Foundation. DK Saraogi, Executive Director (I/c) & Location Head of JSPL Angul and CD Mathew, Associate Vice-President (HR) received these Awards during the ‘4th Annual Greentech HR & Corporate Governance Conference’ held at Banagalore on 27 June 2014.
The Greentech HR Award in the category of ‘Training Excellence’ was presented to JSPL for its systematic training programme, enhancing employee skill and overall productivity. The ‘Best HR Leader’ award was presented to Mr. CD Mathew for his contribution in the field of HR and innovative HR practices introduced by him to improve employee wellbeing.
Receiving the Award, DK Saraogi said, “JSPL’s outstanding HR practices led by the top leaders in the industry has helped the Company to create a brilliant talent pool, which are all set to achieve many feats in future”.
“These Awards are an outcome of the teamwork and total dedication of the Human Resources team at JSPL,”said Mr. CD Mathew while thanking the jury and organizers. Dr. Saroj Mahapatra, Vice-President & Head of HR congratulated the team for this recognition.
At Angul, JSPL is building a 6 MTPA Steel Plant. In addition to introducing state of the art technologies for the mega steel project, the steel maker has also introduced excellent human resource management practices that work as continuous support and growth system for the employees.
Recently, the Company had won NHRD Award for ‘Best Practices in Employee Engagement & Retention’. The Company had also bagged Greentech HR Platinum Award and The India Human Capital Award in 2013 and 2012, respectively.
