Jamshedpur: An Inter Centre Folk Dance Competition – 2011 was organized at Michael John Auditorium at 4:00 PM by Urban Services Department with an objective to provide a platform and an exposure to the young talented girls living in
and around the 12 Community Centres of Urban Services, Tata Steel.
Around 144 participants had participated from various bustees of our community centres. The theme of this dance was based on the regional folk song. It was a colourful programme. Mr. Tamil vanan, City. S.P. East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, graced this occasion as the Chief Guest and Mr. Raghunath Pandey, President, Tata Worker’s Union as the Guest of Honour. The programme was witnessed by a large crowd who had gathered to cheer their teams.
The event was well entertained by the anchor Mr. Uday Chandravanshi. Overall, the programme was well organized and this kind of initiative of Urban Services was appreciated by the community people.
Prizes were given to the Winner’s by the Chief Guest, The event ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Anshu Singh. All the Officers and staff of Corporate Sustainability Services were amongst other dignitaries who witnessed this function.
Result:
1st Place : Sitaramdera Community Centre
2nd Place : Baridih Community Centre
3rd Place : R.D.Bhatta Community Centre
Rest of the 9 teams received consolation prizes.
