MUMBAI (India CSR): ICICI Lombard, India’s largest private general insurance company, has achieved a Guinness World Records™ title for the most helmets distributed in 12 hours, with 25,468 helmets distributedon August 10, 2026 in New Delhi. The accomplishment was undertaken as part of the Company’s flagship Road Safety CSR initiative, ‘Ride to Safety’, reinforcing its long-standing commitment to promoting safer road practices and encouraging helmet usage among two-wheeler and pillion riders.
The record-setting drive was conducted on 10th Aug, across 14 locations including13 schools, with helmets being distributed to students and parents and a road safety rally being flagged off by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highwaysin the presence of senior officials of ICICI Lombard, along with distinguished dignitaries from government and police.
To commemorate the company’s silver jubilee, the drive was organised as a part our decade-long efforts to promote responsible road behaviour and greater adoption of protective gear.
ICICI Lombard is committed to the cause of Road Safety and has been working across the continuum of awareness, prevention and rehabilitation. We have also been collaborating with traffic police for reinforcement of safer road practices, and working in high‑risk zones to implement zero‑fatality solutions and support the rehabilitation of accident victimsthrough dedicated centres in Noida and Patna.

Since 2015, we have distributed more than 7 lakh helmets and impacted over 2.5 Million lives pan India.

The Guinness World Records™ recognition marks a significant milestone in ICICI Lombard’s ongoing road safety journey, while strengthening its commitment to sustained, community-led interventions that encourage safer mobility across India.
