GPIL bags ‘Best CSR Practices-2014’ Award

RAIPUR (Chhattisgarh): Godawari Power & Ispat Limited (GPIL) bagged the award “Best CSR Practices Award-2014” for its outstanding contribution towards Corporate Social Responsibility for organising the Gram Panchayat Cricket Tournament ‘MILAAP’ under category of Innovative Efforts for Sustainable Growth.
The award was given in a CSR Conclave event held at Hotel Royal Plaza, New Delhi on March 21.

Chief Guests of the function were Ms. Sara Wilshaw, Minister (Commercial) & Trade Program Manager at the High Commission of Canada in India, Mr.K.K.Upadhyay, Head-CSR FICCI, Mr. Anurag Batra, Chairman-Business World & Chief Editor- Exchange 4Media Group

Award given by special guests Mr.Krishan Khanna, Chairman iWatch & Ms.Baishali Bomjan, Director-CCS Academy & Asia Centre for Enterprise. It is notable that GPIL has taken initiative to offer & promote cricket for youth talent of Gram Panchayat through its project “MILAAP – Gram Panchayat Stariya Cricket Tournament”.

Near about 200 reputed corporate groups, NGO’s & Public Sector participated in Best CSR Practices Awards 2014 & Godawari Power & Ispat Limited a flagship company of HIRA Group bagged this prestigious award. Through MILAAP GPIL connects nearby Gram Panchayat, promotes Cricket, increase the potential of the rural players & provide job to the “Man of the Series” in company. The organiser of the event Think Media Inc., New Delhi appreciates this initiative of GPIL and considered for Best CSR Practice Award under the category of Innovative Efforts for Sustainable Growth.
