While addressing a function on the occasion of New Year, Damodar Mittal, President and Factory Manager of JSPL stressed that a good safety performance is a paramount requirement for good business and society, and JSPL is committed to improve the safety performance of the plant.

For Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. (JSPL) safety always comes first. The leading steelmaker started the New Year with a Mass Safety Oath organized by its Safety department, the company said.

The company has mega integrated steel manufacturing facilities at Angul, Odisha.

All the Head of the Departments, along with their staff members and workers took the pledge to follow safety rules and make JSPL’s Angul unit a safe workplace. The Safety Oath was administered by Factory Manager.

Mittal appreciated the staff members and Co-workers of the plant for following the prescribed SOP, rules and regulations during this COVID-19 pandemic and achieving stellar performance”. 

On this occasion Atul Dubey, EVP & Head (SMS) reminded that JSPL’s Safety Goal is “Zero Harm”. He also stressed on the slogan of “ROKO & TOKO” for a safe workplace.

A.N. Tiwari, EVP & Head CGP also highlighted the importance of safety.

Navin Gautam, GM-Safety conveyed the message to review the SOPs and risk assessment procedures for achieving “ZERO HARM” goal. Nandan Jha, Manager-Safety anchored the function smoothly.

Pradeep Kumar Choudhury, AGM-Safety thanked the management, program organizers and all participants for making the program a grand success by following all COVID guidelines.
