RAIPUR: GMR Chhattisgarh Energy Limited (GCEL) celebrated the National Road Safety Week from 1-7 January at its Raikheda project site with enthusiasm. GCEL’s Employee Health and Safety (EHS) Department conducted various activities to inculcate awareness about road safety among drivers of various agencies who are driving vehicles in the plant premises.
In addition, a special program on road safety was conducted for the benefit of students of the Government Higher Secondary School, Raikheda, by Jatindra Sahu, Atul Gupta and Bhola Prasad Kushwaha of GCEL. Students gave a commitment that they would create awareness among others and make personal efforts to be alert and secure to prevent accidents. Sanjay Dubey, Shradha Sahu and Daulal of the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation (GMRVF), the CSR arm of the GMR Group, initiated the program in the project neighbourhood villages.
