Three-day capacity-building programme in Karnal focuses on experiential learning, scientific inquiry and classroom innovation for government school educators

Karnal, Haryana (India CSR®): Reinforcing its commitment to improving the quality of education in rural communities, DS Group has organized a three-day Science Teacher Training Programme on ‘Nature and Pedagogy of Science’ from July 29–31, 2026 in Karnal, Haryana. Conducted in partnership with Eklavya Foundation and Education Department, Karnal, the programme brought together PGT & TGT science teachers from government schools across the district.

The training introduced the teachers to scientific concepts, process skills, classroom experimentation, learner-centric teaching methodologies and practical approaches that make science more engaging and relevant for students. The programme sought to deepen teachers’ understanding of science as a body of knowledge and a process of inquiry, enabling them to foster curiosity and critical thinking among young minds.

Speaking on the initiative, Prabhakant Jain, GM, Sustainability & CSR, DS Group said, “At DS Group, we believe that teachers play a transformative role in shaping the future of our communities. Through this programme, we aim to equip educators with innovative teaching methodologies and practical classroom tools that make science more engaging, experiential and relevant for students. By investing in teacher capacity building, we are strengthening the foundation for better learning outcomes while nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific temper among the next generation. This initiative reflects DS Group’s continued commitment to creating sustainable social impact through education.”

We sincerely appreciate DS Group for partnering with the Education Department in strengthening the professional capabilities of our teachers and supporting the advancement of science education in government schools across Karnal district.
