JAIPUR, RAJASTHAN: Every successful organization has its breaking point, its turning point that makes it realize what it needs to grow. However, the longest journey is the one made over time and for Bishnoi Dental, the trailblazing addition of Rajasthan’s first-ever Scano Air AI Robot Dental Checkup System is the latest chapter in an 18-year-old legacy of Dr. R. R. Bishnoi and Dr. Sharda Bishnoi who continues to change the landscape of dental healthcare in Rajasthan as well as Madhya Pradesh.

While two decades ago, the privileged few in metropolitan cities were able to access the best dental care, the poor and rural populations in Rajasthan suffered with dental diseases due to lack of awareness and dental expertise in the area. Seeing this as an urgent social crisis, Dr. R. R. Bishnoi and Dr. Sharda Bishnoi set out to establish a dental care chain, not only to provide dental care to the masses but to give them ethical, high-quality and affordable care.

From a single clinic in Nimbahera, where the journey first began, Bishnoi Dental has grown into Rajasthan’s largest dental care network with more than 20 dental centres across Nimbahera, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaipur, Bhilwara, Neemuch and several other cities in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, supported by a team of over 100 doctors and trusted by more than one million patients. Yet, for the Bishnois, it has not been the numbers that have mattered the most – the satisfaction of giving organized dental care to the masses in need has been their ultimate goal and fulfillment.

A key component of this dental care network’s success has been its commitment to preventive dentistry. Every year, hundreds of health check-up camps are held at schools, villages, industries and other local units across Rajasthan and MP, providing free treatment and oral screenings to thousands of individuals. This has not only helped in promoting dental wellness but has also helped in raising awareness around oral hygiene.

The Bishnoi Dental network has also pioneered Oral Wellness Clinics and Mobile Dental Clinics – outreach services that help patients get quality care even in the farthest of locations. For people living in remote areas, the mobile dental clinic is often their only option to get dental treatment close to their homes. By bringing the dentists to the people, Bishnoi Dental has been able to successfully provide high-quality organized dental care to thousands of patients who would otherwise not have been able to access it.

The Bishnoi Dental network has always strived to combine technological advancements with personal service to provide the best possible care to its patients. Rather than focusing on expansion, Bishnoi Dental has created a strong dental care platform which provides standardized treatment to patients across all of its 20+ dental centers. Strict infection control measures, treatment guidelines and standard operating procedures have been implemented to ensure patients receive the same high level of care, regardless of which Bishnoi Dental center they visit.

Over the years, Bishnoi Dental has worked on adopting the latest technologies to bring the best possible treatments to its patients. From digital dentistry and dedicated implant centers to micro-endodontics, laser dentistry and smile reconstruction, each of the organization’s services have focused on providing maximum accuracy and comfort to the patients while ensuring the ethical and humane approach to every dental procedure.

Now, Bishnoi Dental has taken a major step forward by adding Rajasthan’s first-ever Scano Air AI Robot Dental Checkup System.

The innovative contactless AI screening system allows patients to have a preliminary oral screening in seconds. The AI-powered technology works in tandem with the dentist to screen the patient and detect any oral abnormalities during the initial oral examination. However, it is important to note that all diagnoses and treatments are done by the dentists, with the robot only being used as an additional tool for oral screening.

“To me, it is just another step on our 18-year-old journey,” says Dr. R. R. Bishnoi. “Since the day we started Bishnoi Dental, our goal was not only to treat the dental disease but to create awareness and make oral care accessible to the masses. We wanted to give people a choice and make organized dental care available to everyone. Whether it was dental camps, mobile dental clinics or now the AI screening system, our focus has always been on early diagnosis and better treatment planning that helps our patients get well sooner and with minimal discomfort. Technology will always be a great ally but it cannot substitute a dentist’s personalized care. And I believe our long journey of dental care has only just begun.”

“I think we have done well so far, not only because we have focused on the dental treatment but because we have established a great level of trust with our patients,” says Dr. Sharda Bishnoi.

“Our 18 years of work have shown us that trust is often the most important element of patient care. While we strive to make the most of the latest technologies, we do so with a strong sense of ethics and humanity that has become the hallmark of our dental care practice. This approach has allowed us to successfully connect to people on a deeper, more personal level.”

The Bishnois’ recent foray into the world of AI is only one of the many ways their dental care network is taking advantage of India’s growing healthcare AI revolution. The use of intelligent technologies in preventative diagnostic healthcare is set to boom and Bishnoi Dental is taking key steps to offer its patients the latest in preventative diagnostic healthcare. By using technology to aid and abet the efforts of dentists while continuing to provide specialized one-on-one treatments, Bishnoi Dental is able to offer an exceptional patient experience.

As the oral health awareness movement gains ground across the country, Bishnoi Dental continues to be a trailblazer, not only in dental care but in the dental education and outreach space as well. Organizing thousands of health camps across Rajasthan and other states, as well as the introduction of the Oral Wellness and Mobile Dental Clinics, have enabled Bishnoi Dental to reach out to thousands of people who would not have otherwise received dental care. Now, with the introduction of Rajasthan’s first AI-powered dental screening system, Bishnoi Dental is able to add cutting-edge preventative diagnostic healthcare to its list of achievements.

Thus, the addition of the innovative AI technology to Bishnoi Dental is much more than a technological advancement – it is a continuation of Dr. R. R. Bishnoi and Dr. Sharda Bishnoi’s 18-year-old legacy of providing the highest level of dental care possible. By making dental treatment accessible to everyone, expanding dental care outreach and offering the latest in dental technology, Bishnoi Dental has changed the lives of millions of people and continues to change and lead the future of dental healthcare in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
