Srinagar: Amid fresh Covid-19 cases witnessed in the Jammu and Kashmir, PepsiCo Foundation, the philanthropic arm of PepsiCo, in collaboration with NGO, Smile Foundation provided Covid-19 safety kits to the Jammu and Kashmir, administration in Srinagar. The safety kits include key preventive items such as PPE kits, masks,and digital thermometers along with Oxymeters, thermal scanners, and oxygen concentrators. The initiative aims at supporting the local administration towards effective management of rising cases of COVID in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Covid-19 safety kits were handed over in the presence of Aijaz Asad, IAS, District Magistrate, Srinagar, andNishtha Arora, Manager, Sustainable Development, Smile Foundation. Members of the PepsiCo India team present at the handing over occasion includedHimanshu Priyadarshi, Director, Public Policy and Government Affairs, and Majid Ali Khan, Area Sales Manager, PepsiCo India. The safety kits include over 5,000 masks (N-95) which have been made mandatory amid daily fresh Covid-19 cases noticed in the region.

This initiative is part of our commitment to help contain any resurgence in Covid-19 across the country and our pledge to aid local administrations in the fight against a possible increase insuch infections.”
In the light of the rising Covid cases, PepsiCo Foundation, through its partnership with Smile partnership is providing over 50,000 PPE kits, along with digital thermometers, thermal scanners, oxymeters, concentrators & over 1 lakh N95 masks, across 11 States including J&K to support the administration in its fight against Covid.
