CSR initiative provides tailoring skills and free sewing machines to some.
GURUGRAM (India CSR): Kamdhenu Jeevandhara Foundation, the CSR wing of Kamdhenu Group, shone a spotlight on 10 remarkable women this past quarter, awarding them certificates for completing its pioneering Tailoring Training Program in Gurugram, Haryana.
Launched in 2019, this CSR initiative is redefining skill development by equipping financially vulnerable women with tailoring expertise and, in select cases, free sewing machines to ignite their entrepreneurial spark, the company informed.
Radha Agarwal, Chairperson of Kamdhenu Jeevandhara Foundation, shared her pride, “Our CSR efforts are about more than training – they’re about transforming lives. In just six years, we’ve empowered over 100 women, creating a ripple effect of financial independence and hope across families and communities. As a socially responsible corporate, our commitment extends beyond business success to uplifting the nation through impactful CSR programs.”
Under expert trainers, the program has unlocked job opportunities and fostered self-reliance, proving that CSR can be a game-changer. Beyond immediate benefits, Kamdhenu Jeevandhara’s vision promises long-term societal growth, aligning with India’s nation-building goals, the company said.
Established in 1994, Kamdhenu Limited is India’s leading TMT Bar brand, boasting a Rs. 21,200 crore turnover, it said.
