PUNE (India CSR): Fleetguard Filters Private Limited (FFPL), a leading manufacturer of filtration products and solutions for on- and off-highway applications, organised a river cleaning drive at Vruddheshwar Siddheshwar Ghat, Shaniwar Peth, Pune, on 21st May 2026 as part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives focused on environmental sustainability and community engagement.
The cleanliness drive witnessed participation from nearly 55 employee volunteers from FFPL, who came together to support the restoration and upkeep of the ghat area through waste collection and responsible segregation activities. Conducted between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, the initiative aimed to contribute towards cleaner Riverbed while encouraging greater awareness around responsible waste disposal and environmental stewardship.
During the activity, approximately 200 kilograms of waste and plastic debris were collected and segregated for responsible disposal in collaboration with Poornam Ecovision Foundation. The initiative also focused on promoting civic responsibility and reinforcing the importance of collective action in preserving our river ecosystem.
As conversations around urban sustainability, river conservation, and ecological preservation continue to gain momentum across Indian cities, employee-led environmental volunteering initiatives are increasingly emerging as an important component of responsible corporate citizenship and ESG-led community engagement.
