HYDERABAD: Demonstrating its commitment toward building a sustainable tomorrow together, Cyient, a global engineering, manufacturing, and technology solutions company, through its CSR arm, the Cyient Foundation, has developed Urban Forestry Division Land in Jubilee Hills into a park with a walking track and sit out area for neighboring communities. As a part of this development project, the foundation also flagged off a tree plantation drive, planting over 3000 trees.
The park will be accessible to all residents, especially the elderly within the neighborhood.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) supported the Cyient Foundation in this initiative. BVR Mohan Reddy Garu, Founder Chairman and Board Member, Cyient, and Chairman, Board of Governors, IIT Hyderabad and IIT Roorkee, added, “Since the formation of the State, Telangana has witnessed all-round development under the current progressive government. Several sectors such as IT, pharma, and biotechnology have seen significant progress, and the city of Hyderabad has grown manifold.
Cyient has been an integral part of Hyderabad’s heritage and has been contributing to the city’s sustainability since its early years. We applaud the commitment and efforts of GHMC and are delighted to contribute toward clean and green development of the city.”

The beautification and plantation drive comes after Cyient announced its sustainability goals for 2025 through its inaugural Sustainability Report. Supporting the conversion of today’s linear or “throwaway” economy into a more circular one, the company has committed to becoming carbon and water neutral and ensuring zero waste to landfills. The company has also co-developed a number of sustainable solutions for businesses, especially in the engineering industry, under its Design for Circularity practice.
The plantation drive was graced by Member of Parliament, Shri Joginapally Santosh Kumar Garu (MP of Rajya Sabha for Telangana), Member of the Legislative Assembly from Khairatabad Assembly Constituency, Shri Danam Nagender Garu, Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department, Shri Arvind Kumar Garu, IAS and Zonal Commissioner, Khairathabad, Ms. P Pravinya Garu, IAS.
