The ESG Lab will integrate sustainability into STEM education

MUMBAI (India CSR): The Grand Finale of the National STEM Challenge 2025 on 18 August 2025 in Mumbai will be marked by the inauguration of India’s first ESG Lab by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, bringing sustainability and innovation under one roof.

The lab is set to merge sustainability with STEM learning, reflecting the nation’s commitment to preparing environmentally conscious innovators.

STEM Learning Across India’s Geographic Extremes

Organized by Brillio in partnership with STEM Learning, the National STEM Challenge 2025 brings together over 2,500 students from 500+ schools across 26 states. The finale, scheduled for August 18, 2025, at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Mumbai, will feature some of India’s brightest minds competing in science model-making, tinkering, and engineering challenges.

A Celebration of Innovation

The evening will open with engagement activities and a formal lamp-lighting ceremony. Senior Director of Brillio, Abhishek Ranjan, and Ashutosh Pandit, Founder & CEO of STEM Learning Pvt. Ltd., will set the tone for the event with their welcome and plenary addresses, highlighting the importance of technology and collaborative learning.

Honouring Young Innovators

One of the highlights of the finale will be the felicitation of winners of the National STEM Awards 2025. Young achievers across categories including Tinker, Model Making, and the STEM Race Car Challenge will be recognised for their creativity and problem-solving skills. The presence of the Chief Minister in awarding the students adds further significance to their achievements.

Chief Minister’s Address

In his keynote address, CM Fadnavis is expected to emphasise the importance of integrating STEM education with sustainability goals. His message will underline how innovation, when combined with responsibility, can prepare the next generation of leaders to drive India’s growth.

The programme will conclude with a musical night will bring the celebrations to a close.

A Platform for Future Leaders

The National STEM Challenge has grown into one of India’s largest platforms for students from across the country to showcase their talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. With the launch of the ESG Lab, this year’s edition takes a step forward in embedding sustainability within education, creating a platform where innovation meets responsibility.
