PUNE (India CSR): Bharat Forge Limited (BFL) has released its Corporate Social Responsibility – CSR Report for FY 2025-26, presenting the company’s community-development work and measurable outcomes across rural India. The report states that BFL’s CSR initiatives directly touched 3,33,959 lives and indirectly reached 7,09,123 people during the reporting period. The company reported outreach to 2,46,402 rural residents, while its education initiatives have cumulatively impacted 49,334 students. B. N. Amit B. Kalyani said, “In addition, we have extended our efforts to the North-East region of India, reinforcing our commitment to inclusive development.”

Bharat Forge has also expanded its CSR footprint in the North-East, with a focus on advanced skills, technological learning and access to higher education. The company has established a Centre of Excellence at the Nagaland Tool Room and Training Centre in Dimapur, supporting learning in robotics, AI, 3D simulation and smart automation. It has also set up skill labs in two government schools in Dimapur, equipped with 3D printers, robotics kits, STEM equipment and DIY learning tools. Through the Vidyanjali initiative, BFL supports the higher education of 29 students from the North-East through financial assistance and mentorship.

Water conservation remained a major focus of BFL’s CSR work. The company created 575 TCM of water-storage capacity during FY 2025-26, taking its cumulative water-storage achievement since 2015 to 3,701 TCM. The report says that average water conserved through its CSR harvesting projects is 11,85,255 KL, exceeding average water consumption in BFL operations of 10,73,191 KL over the past nine years.

The company also added 898 kW of renewable-energy infrastructure during the year. It planted 1,35,365 trees in FY 2025-26, taking cumulative plantation to 4,79,939 trees. Its waste-management initiatives converted 1,679 tonnes of organic waste into manure during the reporting year. In rural development and agriculture, BFL brought 9,610 acres under irrigation, levelled 25 acres of land for farming, constructed 15 km of roads and supported infrastructure development in six government schools. The company also reported support for 790 women through vocational-skills programmes and health coverage for 1,083 women.

Dr. Leena Deshpande, Head, Corporate Social Responsibility, Bharat Forge Limited, said, “Our work in education, skill development, health, and environmental sustainability reflects a deep-rooted belief in inclusive progress.” She added, “As we continue to tailor our efforts to the specific needs of each region, we remain committed to building a resilient, equitable, and sustainable tomorrow.”

The report also highlights BFL’s focus on future-ready learning through Centres of Excellence, innovation labs and advanced technology exposure in robotics, drone operations, 3D printing and CNC simulation.
