BHUBANESWAR: As a part of its CSR programme, Aditya Birla Group’s Company Aditya Aluminium has started today the celebration of Vanamohostav Week in it’s plant premises at Lapanga in the Sambalpur district in Odisha. This will continue for one week.
Aditya Aluminum is very much concerned about protecting the environment and making the surrounding greener. Taking this as a pledge, Mrs Lopamudra Mishra, Manager CSR , of Aditya Aluminium has started this mass plantation campaign by planting a sapling from the nearby Gopakani village.
The senior executive of the company Arvind Teewari, Manager Environment and the Head of Horticulture Deptt. of the company Mr Shyamalendu Mohapatra were present on the occasion and encouraged the villagers to plant the saplings.
Mohapatra explained to the villagers the utility of plantation and the utility of the green environment. On the first day of this week long campaign around 200 saplings of different varieties were planted by the villagers. Those saplings were provided by the company and were planted by all sections of people staring from child to that of the 85 years old man.
This campaign was well-coordinated by Manoranjan Mahapatra, Asst Manager-CSR of Aditya Aluminium with the cooperation of the local SFA NGO.
