New Delhi: Amway Opportunity Foundation (AOF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Amway India, partnered with Mahavir International Hospital to organizea free ‘Eye &Health check-up’ campat Majdoor Janta Colony, Peeli Mitti, Jaffrabad. Eye specialists and physicians of Mahavir International Hospital came forward to offer their services free of cost to support this noble cause. The camp benefitted more than 450 less privileged individuals. Anybody could get free consultation for a basic eye, nose, throat, blood pressure & general health check-up. The camp was inaugurated by Shri Naresh Gaur, Member of Legislative Assembly, Babarpur constituency.
This was first of the six ‘Eye and Health check-up camps’ that AOF is organizing with Mahavir International. The next camps will be organized at Bhati Mines, Sunder Nagri, Swaroop Vihar, Lakshmi Nagar and Gurgaon (village Bhondsi) in coming months. Over the past 7 years, AOF along with Mahavir International has organized over 84 eye and health camps benefitting more than 45,000 individuals till date.
Commenting on the initiativeSanjay Malhotra, Member – Executive Committee, Amway Opportunity Foundation,said, “Amway Opportunity Foundation has been working for the less-privileged individuals, especially children, since inception. Our mission is to enable the less privileged to lead a better life. This camp is a small step to ensure better health for these individuals.”
Mr. Anil Jain, Vice Chairman, Mahavir International, said,“The aim of such camps is to provide quality health related consultation to people who otherwise cannot afford it. We also try and help individuals in need with medicines and further consultations if there is a specific need. We value the strong bond of relationship we have with AOF. Their support has helped us support thousands of individuals over the past 7 years.”
