Aditya Birla Capital’s CSR initiatives impacted over 9.21 lakh lives across 13 states through healthcare, education and sustainable livelihood programmes in FY26.
NEW DELHI (India CSR): Aditya Birla Capital (ABCL) strengthened its commitment to inclusive and sustainable development during FY2025–26 through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, positively impacting over 9.21 lakh lives across 13 states. According to the company’s latest Annual Report, its interventions were centred on improving access to quality healthcare and education, while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for underserved communities.
Healthcare remained the largest focus area, with programmes benefiting nearly 6.39 lakh individuals. Women constituted approximately 70% of the beneficiaries, reflecting the company’s continued emphasis on advancing maternal and child health and improving healthcare access for vulnerable communities. In addition, its Mobile Medical Units delivered essential primary healthcare services to over 1.89 lakh people in remote and underserved regions.
As part of its efforts to strengthen access to critical healthcare services, the company also supported cancer patients with diagnostics and treatment and facilitated HPV vaccination for more than 20,000 adolescent girls and young women, reinforcing its focus on preventive healthcare.
Education continued to be another key pillar of ABCL’s CSR strategy, with over 1.64 lakh individuals benefiting from initiatives spanning early childhood education, school infrastructure, higher education and financial literacy. Girls accounted for nearly 66% of the beneficiaries. During the year, the company upgraded 282 Anganwadi centres, enhanced infrastructure across more than 160 schools and trained over 40,000 college students in financial planning and investment awareness.
ABCL’s livelihood interventions positively impacted nearly 1.18 lakh people, including more than 66,000 women farmers, through initiatives aimed at enhancing income opportunities and strengthening rural resilience. The company also supported watershed development projects to improve water security and promote climate-resilient agricultural practices.
The Annual Report also underscored ABCL’s broader sustainability agenda. During the year, the company financed renewable energy projects amounting to ₹6,335 crore, supporting a cumulative installed capacity of 3,965 MW. It further advanced its environmental commitments through increased adoption of renewable energy, expansion of solar power usage and implementation of circular waste management practices.
