BENGALURU (India CSR): Kumari Shibulal, Founder & Chairperson of the Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI), has been recognised among India’s Most Generous Women in the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025. This honour acknowledges her enduring commitment to empowering individuals and communities through focused and impactful philanthropy.
Expressing her gratitude, Kumari Shibulal said, “Philanthropy, to me, is about responsibility and compassion. It is about enabling people to discover their potential and lead fulfilling lives. This acknowledgement encourages us to continue our journey toward creating sustainable social impact.”
The EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2025 honours India’s most generous individuals whose contributions are shaping the nation’s development and inspiring a culture of giving.
Driven by the belief that education and culture are vital tools for transformation, Mrs. Shibulal has led SFPI in developing initiatives that create long-term social change. Under her leadership, SFPI has launched several programmes that nurture learning, creativity, and empowerment across different age groups and social backgrounds.
Vidyadhan provides scholarships to meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families, enabling them to pursue higher education. Ankur focuses on early childhood care and education, giving young children a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Shikshalokam is driven by the mission to enable and amplify leadership development opportunities for individuals and institutions within K-12 education systems.
Shikshagraha is a movement that unites government, community, market and media to form collectives that empower leaders, educators and communities to take ownership of improving the public education system. Saathiya empowers youth with mentorship and life skills, preparing them for meaningful employment in the hospitality sector. Sangamam, SFPI’s cultural
initiative, celebrates and preserves India’s rich heritage by supporting traditional art forms and local artists.
Together, these initiatives reflect Shibulal’s vision of building an inclusive society that values both knowledge and culture.
