Casino or Sports Betting – Where Are the Chances of Winning Higher?

Online casinos enjoy a much higher popularity in India than sportsbooks.

Casino games are random than nature, so accurately predicting the outcome of each round is almost impossible.

Both casino gambling and sports betting are popular pastimes in India. The younger population loves to gamble online, especially now when it’s easier than ever to bet on sports on the web or play slots and casino games on the go. While India has yet to do anything in regards to online gambling legalization, offshore gambling sites can offer their services legally to Indian players.

There’s a never ending debate between sports bettors and casino players on which form of gambling actually pays higher. The house always wins, but is it so with sportsbooks? In this article, we’ll try and settle the debate once and for all. For those looking for alternative options, check out Malta betting sites which offer a range of gambling opportunities under a well-regulated framework.

Winning Probability in Online Casinos

Online casinos enjoy a much higher popularity in India than sportsbooks. Players love the fact there are so many games to pick from, and let’s not even start on the bonuses. There’s a welcome package at all online casinos in India, giving new players a warming gift to start with. They can then spend the bonus money on thousands of casino games, including fun and rewarding slots with decent winning probability.

You probably know the saying the house always wins. While that’s certainly the case, there are strategies you can apply to skill-based games that cut down the house edge and turn the tide in your favor. That goes double for blackjack and poker. You can practice for free online which means you can learn the rules by heart and try strategies without spending a dime. That gives you a much better advantage over the casino, even though you must not think you’ll win all the time.

Casino games are random than nature, so accurately predicting the outcome of each round is almost impossible. The good news is that you don’t always need to spend your own money to try your luck or test your skills. Online casinos offer a variety of bonuses you can enjoy, starting with a welcome package. They’re much more generous than online sportsbooks in this regard, but don’t think about these bonuses as free money.

There are many rules to follow and terms to adhere to before you can use payment methods with  advanced technological features to claim your winnings. Still, using bonuses does improve your chances to win as you won’t be spending much of your money. In terms of bonuses, free spins and no deposit offers give you the best chances to win, although you’ll most often come across deposit bonuses.

Compared to sports betting, casino games are random and tougher to predict. But, by using bonuses and playing with strategies, the winning probability in online casinos is more decent than playing at land-based venues.

Winning Probability in Sports Betting

If you ask most gamblers, there’s a higher probability to win sports bets rather than win in casino games. The reason is simple – while the outcome of sports events is random like casino games, there are many factors to take into consideration and accurately predict the outcome of future events. Compared to online gambling where the house edge is irreversible, bookmakers allow you to bet on heavy favorites if you want to. Of course, the potential winnings will be significantly lower than an underdog win. The operator turns profit even if an underdog wins here and there, which is why it allows bettors to put their money on a surefire bet.

When betting on such an outcome, you will win, for example, 8 times out of 10. The underdog rarely pulls through, especially in big matches. While we’ve seen more than a few comebacks in big matches, this doesn’t happen all the time, so the favorite is still a big favorite to win a match at low odds.

The good news is that sports betting sites come up with innovative markets such as handicaps and spreads which add spice to the action. These markets greatly boost the chances of getting a much better return than simply backing up the favorite. The risk goes higher too, but you do have an option to hit a bigger win if you know what you’re doing. Predicting these outcomes is hard as the sportsbook tries to even the field between an overwhelming favorite and an underdog. Adding goals to one side or handicapping the other is a fun way to bet on better odds and a personal favorite of seasoned Indian bettors.

Due to the fact that you can study a team’s form, its latest runs, and other individual and team stats and factors, it’s easier to predict a win in sports betting than in casino gambling. The outcome of sports events is still random, but you can predict it more accurately than casino games. That’s why sports betting has more fans than casino gambling, although you lose out on potentially great bonuses.

Sportsbooks give fewer bonuses than casinos as they offer odds that you can predict easier, essentially giving you a better chance to win in the long run.

Strategies Work In Both Cases

When betting on sports or gambling in casinos it’s essential to always use a strategy. In casino games such as blackjack, it can cut down the already low house edge in half. In sports betting you can use different tactics and strategies to win constantly or keep loses to a minimum. While there’s no fool-proof betting system that promises wins all the time, you stand a better chance by using strategies.

Conclusion

Online casino games offer much better rewards than sports betting. There have been many cases where people have won incredible sums on cheap casino games, but that’s the thing – your chances to hit such a jackpot are probably one in a million, if not longer.

Compared to those odds, sports betting gives you a much better chance. If you’re heavily invested into it and do proper research, you can more accurately predict the outcome of future events. You could say that sports betting is smart money compared to casino games, where you’re betting it all on a random combination of symbols on a screen.

That makes sports betting sites a much better choice and the winner in this neverending debate.
