While revamping your house or doing your house from the scratch, how much time did you spend on choosing the paint for your living room walls or your bedroom walls? Enormous, we presume. While that can still be satisfying and pay off in the way of a beautiful home, you could still cut down a little of the effort and redirect it the tile way. Why? To begin with, they have much more variety and patterns to choose from AND are easy on your pockets as well. While the inexpensive material and labour costs of paint and wallpaper may appear attractive, the stylish design and long-term advantages have homeowners opting for wall tiles to adorn their homes time and time again. Having said that, most often people get confused over waterproof paint or tiles to get installed on walls. Let us have a look at the benefits of having tiles on your walls in place of waterproof paints or wallpapers.

Low Maintenance

Whether it is the kitchen or a living room flooring, spills and stains are an inevitable part of living in a house. In such cases, you need to look for flooring that are able to withstand these spills and stains. Tiles are top contenders in this department even when compared to waterproof paints and wallpapers. Scuff marks and unappealing imperfections may quickly detract from a room’s overall harmony, and repainting or wallpapering the walls will always incur additional expenditures – not to mention the time and work required. So, choose a glossy wall tile or a matte finish floor tile, whatever it is and wherever it is, you will certainly bring down a huge chunk of maintenance costs and time in the long run.

Long Lasting Nature

Paint or wallpapers must be maintained for every 2-3 years. But in the case of tiles, maintenance is not required for a long period. Tiles are manufactured with processes that render them durable enough to sustain common situations like spills, stains, moisture absorption and weather conditions alike.

Tile Versatility

The adaptability of neutral-toned tiles guarantees that your walls can accommodate any style update, from porcelain mosaics to bevelled brick wall tiles. So, be it that you paint the walls with your own artwork or cover old furniture with bright textiles, you can be confident that your transformation will not break the budget and will give you a bang for the buck!

Luxurious Effect

When it comes to tiles, there are limitless design and pattern options to choose from in every kind. Be it stone tiles or a glossy mosaic tile. Plus, the added advantage of nailing that luxurious glossy sheen to the wall or to the floor only elevates the look of the space.

Waterproof Finish

Places like the bathrooms and kitchens have more water exposure than the rest of the house. In such spaces, it is important to have a waterproof finish to whatever you choose to go ahead with. While waterproof paints and wallpapers are great, they tend to chip off and show signs of water retention after a point which is not a good sight to have. And then begin the wallpaper and repaint hassles. Instead, go for water-resistant tiles specifically slotted for kitchens and bathrooms. This way, you bring down a lot of redoing and are also well within your budget.

Don’t spend too much time wondering what to choose between waterproof paints and tiles for your home. Go with whatever gives you more returns in terms of easy maintenance, aesthetic appeal, cost-effectiveness, and much more.
